This is Cody.  He’s a 5 Year old neutered male Coton de Tulear.  Cody is a sweet boy that loves people and cuddles.  His family brought him to us as they could no longer care for him.  We’re looking for a home for him where he can spend his whole life.

Cody was born August 10, 2017.

He’s up to date on his vaccinations and he’s been neutered.  He gets along with other dogs but prefers dogs closer to his size.  We would prefer he be placed in a home without young children as he does startled from loud noises and sudden movements.

Cody weighs in at about 28 lbs and is large for a Coton de Tulear but he is a gentle giant.  He’s not a very active boy and would benefit from a couple walks a day to trim him down some.

We’re only interested in serious inquiries as Cody deserves a permanent home.

The Coton de Tulear is a rare breed dog originating in Madagascar although they are becoming more popular.

The Coton de Tulear is a very happy and social dog that is usually very quiet and rarely barks.

The Coton de Tulear is a toy breed and typically weighs between 8 and 14 lbs as an adult.  Our Coton de Tulear generally mature between 9 and 14 lbs.

They are a mid energy and love to go for walks, run in the park and play with other dogs and people.

The Coton de Tulear is very well tempered and very social, You will find that they will get along with everyone

As their name says, their hair coat is very soft and plush just like cotton. The Coton de Tulear is non-shedding and considered hypo-allergenic and allergy sufferers should find that they can tolerate them better than a shedding dog.

To maintain their long flowing hair they do require regular brushing. Most people tend to keep their hair a little shorter in a “puppy cut” and get them hair cuts every 6 to 8 weeks.

The Coton de Tulear makes for a rare and unique addition to any family and will adapt to many living situations.
